MilAir.Tips

A Twitterbot Mastodon experiment being developed Nick Benson.

Every three minutes MilAir.Tips grabs a snapshot of global military traffic from ADSBExchange's RapidAPI data service and performs a quick analysis of traffic in different areas to determine if aircraft are descending as they head in the general direction of the airport, or, at some airports, if aircraft have recenctly passed through a STAR transition (the imaginary points in the sky that act as gates for inbound traffic). When it identifies an inbound aircraft, it will post to its respective account.

I'm working hard to get moved over to Mastodon now; posting to Twitter will come to a halt in the near future. If interested in aviation and flight tracking, check out avgeek.social and airwaves.social.
